Use this sensor to detect when something or someone passes an entry point - a car entering your driveway, someone coming in the side gate, or any number of other uses. The sensor emits a beam of infrared (IR) light, invisible to human eyes, bounces it off a reflector, and senses when the beam is interrupted. The light sent out is polarized, so the sensor responds only to light with the same polarization. Input voltage can be anything from 12 to 240 volts, either AC or DC.
